23 Sept: Belfast City Half Marathon

On Sunday 23rd September 2018 at 9am, around 4,000 participants are expected to set off on their 13.1 mile journey from Ormeau Park in a bid to complete the largest Half Marathon event in Northern Ireland, the 6th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon.

Volunteering at this event will include;

* Marshalling

* Stewarding at the Start and Finish Line;

* Organising the medals and hand out runners bags;

* Informing spectators about the race route;

* Operating the water and energy stations.

All volunteers will receive event training prior to Race Day, an official rain jacket and after the event, a commemorative medal for their involvement.

Event specific training taking place during the month of September which it is essential for volunteers to attend. Volunteer shifts vary (between min 1h to 8h) and can start from 6am and finish around 5pm.
