1 May: Belfast City Marathon

Volunteers required for water stations, marshalling, start and finish lines, and to cheer runners along :)

Belfast will host the 2017 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon event on Bank Holiday Monday 1st May. Over 17,500 runners are expected to hit the streets of North, South, East and West of the City.

BELFAST CITY MARATHON have a number of opportunities available on race day - including Start Area, route marshalling, manning water stations and helping at the finish line.

MENCAP is the official charity Partner of the 2017 Belfast City Marathon and are seeking community volunteers from all over Northern Ireland to help out on the day to man watering stations and make loud noises at cheering stations along the marathon route!!!
Mencap NI are seeking over 100 volunteers during the event – from all ages, communities and backgrounds to help support and motivate marathon runners along the 26 mile route. They're seeking energetic and very LOUD people and will provide the whistles, pom poms and music on the day!

CHILDREN'S HEARTBEAT TRUST are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help cheer and give out water to their racing hearts who are taking part in the Belfast City Marathon. They hope to have four cheering stations on the Falls Road, Ormeau Road, Antrim Road and Belfast City Centre.
