Target audience
Those involved in the assessment, treatment and management of adults and adolescentrs who have sexually offended against others - residential and field social workers, foster carers, health professionals, teachers, youth justice workers, police and probation officers, policy makers in social care and criminal justice.

Training outcomes
This day will:

  • take practitioners through the process of managing the risk of sexual offending from different perspectives;
  • clarify the different roles and capacity for sharing information about potential risk;
  • enable practitioners to integrate theory, risk assessment, child protection and risk management into the pathways of child, adolescent and adult offenders.

The day will be delivered in a training format with the opportunity for round table discussion. We will examine the response to sexual offending from differing perspectives at different stages of an individual's life cycle, examining the risk, strengths, treatment needs and management needs.

Before each case is presented by the lead facilitator, Geese will present a thought provoking drama piece to depict the key issues for each case scenario age group.

Geese present interactive theatre and facilitate drama-based groupwork, staff training and consultation for the probation service, prisons, youth offending teams, secure hospitals, child protection organisations and related agencies throughout the UK and abroad.
