Ready, steady, letís glow! Stand out for Guide Dogs this October.

17 August 2015

Could you sacrifice your lunch break or maybe your Coronation Street fix for one day? Go on, do it for Guide Dogs! Weíre asking for just an hour of your time during Guide Dogs Week from 3rd to 11th October.

Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, the charity Guide Dogs is there to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. By donating just an hour of your time, you will be making a huge difference to the lives of people who are blind or partially sighted.

It’s so easy to join in one of our Let’s Glow activities.

Let’s Glow Collect - Join one of the many local collections taking place across the UK during Guide Dogs Week dressed in neon.

Let’s Glow Party – Host a neon event with family and friends. Whether a coffee morning or a local bake sale with neon iced cakes, every penny you raise will make a difference to people with sight loss.

Let’s Glow Friday - Organise your own dress in neon day at work or school on Friday 9 October by asking colleagues or friends to wear their brightest outfits and pay a nominal £1 for Guide Dogs Week to help us change more lives.

To sign up now or find out more information go to www.guidedogs.org.uk/guidedogsweek.  The website will tell you all you need to know about the ways to get involved, as well as showing you what events are happening near you.

Give a little time. Make a big difference.

Donate just an hour of your time and you can make a difference to the lives of people like Naomi.

“I’m a different person with Dixie. She’s given me so much confidence. I can go anywhere I like now without feeling stressed. It’s like having a new member of the family. My children love Dixie to bits.”
