Guide Dogs Week – 1st to 9th October

15 September 2016

Every hour another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, Guide Dogs is here to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. In October, Guide Dogs celebrates the amazing things they do and this year they’re asking you to Move it for Money!

How will you Move it for Money?

Do you have an hour or two to spare from 1st to 9th October? Could you give up your TV fix or gym session for the day? If so, Guide Dogs needs your help!

Could you Donate an Hour at a collection near you?

Abigail, did just that for Guide Dogs Week 2015 where she met guide dog owner, Jackie and her guide dog Bumble. She says: “Jackie is very inspirational; she doesn’t let anything stop her. Since the Guide Dogs Week collection I have supported more collections and I got a relay team together for the Belfast marathon. I am now hoping to go on to do the full marathon next year!”

Or, rather than a collection would you prefer to Move it for Money in a different way? You can Move it however you want…

What moves Guide Dogs is creating life changing partnerships. So, what do you and your friends love doing?

Love baking? Move your mixer and organise a bake sale.

Social superstar? Hold a party and shake the cocktails.

Love a challenge?Get sponsored to move your muscles in an active challenge.

Whatever you do for Guide Dogs, you’ll be helping to change the lives of people with sight loss.
