Free information roadshow sessions on the new Adult Safeguarding Champion Role in your area!

Under “Adult Safeguarding: Prevention and Protection in Partnership” (2015) and the new “Adult Safeguarding Operational Procedures” (2016), all organisations or groups with volunteers or staff who require vetting at any level under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (Northern Ireland) Order 2007 are required to have an Adult Safeguarding Champion (ASC).

We are happy to inform you that Volunteer Now, in partnership with the Health and Social Care Board, will be delivering a series of FREE “INFORMATION ROADSHOW” SESSIONS about the new ADULT SAFEGUARDING CHAMPION role across all HSC Trust areas over the next few months!

The sessions are aimed at managers, supervisors and management committees in Community, Voluntary, Faith and Independent sectors and will help you to:

- Ensure that your organisation, staff and volunteers have the key information about the new Adult Safeguarding Champion role.

- Assess your current arrangements and plan for Adult Safeguarding Champion requirements.

To register an interest in the Adult Safeguarding Champion Roadshow sessions please contact claire.maddison@volunteernow.org.uk or watch this space for further details about the sessions and how to secure your place.
