Free Boccia Referee & Officials course

UKCC Level 1Bocciareferee &officialscourse which will run on Saturday 16th September 11am - 6pm in Shaftesbury Recreation Centre 97 Balfour Avenue Belfast. The course will be tutored by Rachel Crack fromBocciaEngland.

This is the first course to be run in Northern Ireland and it will enable Disability Sport NI to run their competitions more effectively - see course overview below. The cost of this course is normally 50 per delegate but the course will be offered to delegates free of charge as long as you can commit to officiating at 4-6 Northern Ireland Boccia League dates during the season.

Dates of the league are as follows (venues TBC):

Sept 30th, Nov 4th, Dec 2nd, Jan 13th, Feb 3rd, Mar 3rd.

Games will run from 10am - 2pm.

There is also a possibility of an individual league being run from May-July this season which will also give you some nice opportunities to get more experience.

Places on the course are limited to 10 and will be given out on the basis of commitment to refereeing in the national competitions and on a first come basis.

Suitable for delegates over the age of 16. Some prior knowledge and experience of Boccia would be beneficial.

7 hours course (50% practical, 50% theory).
Includes end of course multiple choice test.
