Free training at Clifton House - tour guiding, hospitality, heritage

Clifton House is an impressive Georgian building, set in tranquil landscaped gardens in the heart of Belfast. After a renovation, it is now home to an archive and the heritage and conference centre. 

Clifton House in Belfast are offering an excellent training programme which will train volunteers to work at Clifton House in three main areas; tour guiding, hospitality and heritage. All the training costs and expenses will be covered.  Ideally the volunteers will be from the Lisburn area and or North Belfast, but if you live outside these areas, don’t let this put you off.  The provisional dates for training are as follows:

9th October          1.30 – 4.30pm

13th October      1.30 – 4.30pm

20th October       9.30 – 3.00pm

3rd November     10.00 – 4.30pm

10th November  9.30 – 12.00pm

If you are interested, send an expression of interest to: archive@cliftonbelfast.org.uk. Volunteers will be asked to submit a CV and selection will be based on past experience and suitability for the role. You must be able to attend all the training dates which will result in a World Host accredited qualification as well as training carried out by the  Chair of the Northern Ireland Tour Guide Association.
