Keeping Adults Safe: Mental Capacity Roadshow *FULLY BOOKED*

  • Start Date: 16th March 2018, 10:00

The Mental Capacity Act (Northern Ireland) received Royal Assent in 2016 and implementation work, including drafting of a Code of Practice, is currently ongoing.

There is a need for organisations to look towards the implementation of this act and consider impact on practice, including in the area of adult safeguarding.

These roadshow events are funded by the Health and Social Care Board.  They are for practitioners and managers in community, voluntary, faith and independent sector organisations and will help participants to explore:

•          Key facts and misconceptions about mental capacity and consent.

•          The interface of these concepts with the regional adult safeguarding policy and procedures.

•          Impact on practice of the Mental Capacity Act (Northern Ireland) 2016.

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a maximum of 5 per organisation.

Time: 10.00am - 11.30am

Location: Omagh Library, Irishtown Road, Spillars Place, Omagh BT78 1HL
