Volunteering for Wellbeing

Deirde McParland from the Southern Health and Social Care Trust  spoke about the Five Ways to Wellbeing, Connect, Keep Learning, Be Active, Take Notice and Give, and how all volunteering relates to all these five ways of keeping yourself mentally and physically active.

The people that attended the event gave up their time also to try out a few volunteering activities on the day. People volunteering helping Action Cancer, Women’s Aid, Talking News, Weast Chernobyl and tried out a few activities involving the Armagh Bee Keepers Association and Citizen’s Online.

The event was supported by the Volunteer Now, the Armagh Council, the Policing  Community Safety Partnership and funded by the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.
