On 24th March 2011 Volunteer Now hosted an international conference in Belfast to explore how volunteering and civic engagement could be developed to meet the needs of an ageing society.

Unltd's Engage programme offers support to new and existing social entrepreneurs aged 50+. This film showcases this support and focuses on local social entrepreneur Derek McClure and the impact made by one of his social enterprises, Daisies Cafe, in Newtownards.
The Prince's Trust provides support to young people to move them into training and employment. Volunteer Business Mentors with the Prince's Trust provide guidance and support to young people in the local community. who have started their own business. This film case studies local business woman, Lorraine Milne, to show how her volunteering has benefitted the Prince's Trust and the young people it supports.
Blodwen Espie has volunteered at the Erne Hospital in Enniskillen for over 40 years. This film focuses on Blodwen's volunteering and the value it has added to staff and service users of the Erne Hospital. The film showcases the approach to volunteering adopted in a statutory setting by the Western Health and Social Care Trust.
The Share Centre in Fermanagh provides a variety of team building opportunities with a wide range of facilities in a breathtaking setting. Share has an inclusive ethos and provides programmes for service users of all levels of ability. This film features two retired volunteers, Michael Baxter and Bill Hosford, and the impact they have made by volunteering with Share and the impact volunteering has made on them.
