Another Great Reason to Register for The Big Lunch!

The Big Lunch 2021 is coming on 5-6 June and people across the UK are invited to take time for our neighbours and do something kind in our communities.  It’s also part of a #MonthofCommunity and there’s more reasons than ever to take part.

Say cheers to volunteers, connect with neighbours and friends, fundraise or use lunch breaks for acts of kindness.  The idea originated from the Eden Project, partnered with the National Lottery Community Fund and supported this year by Iceland Food Warehouse.

Nutritional therapist and author Jane McClenaghan from Belfast has been a Big Lunch ambassador for several years and this year one lucky Big Lunch organiser will win a Vital Nutrition workshop and cookery demo!

Jane will share some of her healthy ideas and mouth-watering local recipes and show you how you can feel energised and invigorated by simply altering some aspects of your diet.

“Community spirit and good food, what’s not to love? I love the simplicity of The Big Lunch idea of bringing people together to make good connections where we live. There is a lot for us to be thankful for and this year it’s more important than ever to look out for our neighbours and community. Taking part in The Big Lunch this year can be as simple as enjoying some time with one neighbour but if we all do that on the 5 – 6 of June think of all that community spirit.
