Keeping Children Safe: An Introduction
This is a half day basic awareness course for those working with children and young people.
Keeping Children Safe Training is delivered by accredited trainers with experience of safeguarding issues.
Participants receive a certificate on completion of the full course.
This course covers:
- legal and policy context of safeguarding children;
- what abuse is and what we know about abuse;
- procedures for reporting concerns; and
- relevance of code of behaviour for staff/volunteers e.g. e-safety issues.
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a maximum of 3 per organisation.
Joining information will be sent out the day before the session.
This training is available for those working or volunteering in the Northern, Southern and Western Trust areas.
