Dealing With A Disclosure

With many face to face services for children and adults opening up again, it is vital that staff and volunteers are prepared for disclosures of abuse.

Are your staff and volunteers confident in how to respond to a disclosure?  Do they know how to record and report the information?  Watch this short video below which outlines some Do’s and Don’ts.  A summary factsheet is also available here.  Your organisation must have clear reporting procedures in place, and staff and volunteers must be aware of their responsibilities.
