Mid-Project Briefing Invitation

Volunteer Now have been working in partnership with the Mobilising Voluntary Action Research Group on a 4-Nation comparative study, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), which had the objective of investigating the volunteering response to the pandemic.

This is an exciting study with the aim of providing results which will help guide national recovery and ensure future preparedness.

Join us on Wednesday 21 July 2021 from 11.00am at our Mid-Project Briefing where our team will provide more details of where we are at the halfway point!

• Denise Hayward  –  Introduction and Welcome
• Dr Laura Crawford  –  An overview of the published data and research on the impact COVID-19 has had on volunteering at a local level and the implications of the published data for recovery
• Dr Ewen Speed  –  An overview of the volunteering public policy position in Northern Ireland in comparison to the rest of the UK
• Dr Nick Acheson  –  An initial review of data collection in Northern Ireland as part of the project
