RQIA seeks volunteers for Care Home inspections

In this exciting regional initiative, the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) plan to involve service users and members of the public as Inspection Support Volunteers, initially in the Care Homes setting.  This will enhance opportunities to listen to the lived experience of service users,  their families and carers as a vital part of the service inspection process.

An Inspection Support Volunteer is a member of the public who will bring their own experience and a person-centred, focused approach to inspections and RQIA are seeking volunteers who would be willing to contribute to 2-3 inspections per month. This will involve preparing for the inspection, gathering findings on the day with the inspection team then writing up your findings to share with the team.  Full training and support provided.
