Aisling Slim

Aisling Slim is a wonderful advocate for volunteering and has become somewhat of a serial volunteer!  Living in Armagh and working full time for the Southern Trust as a day opportunities worker, Aisling is married with two children but still finds time to volunteer in a wide range of ways.

She was nominated for the Trust’s People’s Choice award in excellence and compassion by a young service user and her mother.  Aisling told us that the mother wrote a letter to the trust to nominate her as her daughter was so happy to have been introduced to volunteering by Aisling and to have got involved in mobile volunteering activities organised through Volunteer Now in Dungannon.  Aisling and the service user have been to the Awards and although she did not get the award she stated that it was a privilege to have been nominated by this young lady.

Aisling has volunteered with Marie Curie, Mary’s meal’s, Hunt Sabatucan’s and the Malawi Group – well done Aisling!
