What does your volunteering involve?
I generally assist in the sorting of items that come into the shop. I place items on display and lift bags
to be recycled.
What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
Definitely the people! I loved meeting new people in the store. They would tell me stories and help me
with tasks.
Why would you encourage others to become a Millennium Volunteer?
It’s a must. Volunteering is a very worthwhile experience. It provides you with an abundance of
experience which can be utilised in later life. It gives you something to show for your efforts and allows
employers to see your experience.
