Shannon McKinney

I am currently a volunteer at Lagan Search and Rescue in Belfast.  I attend weekly training evenings which encompass presentations, group discussions and training exercises.  I am currently working towards entry into all the emergency response disciplines within the organisation.  These include the Rescue Swimmer Corps, Lifeboat Crew, Medical Response Team, Kayak Rescue Corps and the Flood Rescue Response Team.

On completion of my training, I hope to assist in Emergency Rescue operations abroad with the Malta Emergency Rescue Corps (ERRC) and the Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), an international humanitarian organisation that rescue migrants and refugees in trouble at sea.
