VOLT Programme 2025 – NEW DATES ADDED!
The team at Volunteer Now have organised three free VOLT sessions for January and February, and are working on future VOLT session for 2025. VOLT sessions are free and designed to give people the opportunity to focus on a volunteering issue with other like-minded individuals.

Involving Young People as Volunteers
Thursday 13 February 2025 | 10am-12pm | Hybrid – Belfast & Online
Join us as we hear from a group of young people involved in the Youth Advisory Partnership on their experience of volunteering. We will hear about the tasks they have become involved in, the benefits they have gained and important things to consider when involving young people.

Safeguarding Children & Young People – What, When & Who Can You Share Information With?

Join our Safeguarding Manager, Ruth Mulholland and PSNI Officer Paul Wright, Chief Inspector, Chief Officer Delegate, Protective Disclosure Unit for guidance on the sharing of information, what the PSNI can share and the processes for this including Access NI, Common Law Police Disclosure Unit (CLPD) and Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme.

Volunteer Driving

Volunteer Now, in partnership with the Community Transport Association, will be delivering a session focusing on the role of volunteer driving. In the session, we will be introducing the landscape, explaining the trends and findings from latest research. We will also be speaking about insurance implications, mileage rates and issues around recruitment and retention of volunteers.
