VOLT SESSION: Digitally Aware, Wise & Resilient

We are continuing our new series of webinars on 8 February 2023 with ‘Digitally Aware, Wise & Resilient’ with guest speaker Dr Deborah Webster.

With thanks to the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland, we are excited to deliver an interesting series of webinars to kickstart 2023, encouraging the Voluntary Sector to consider new approaches, ideas and allow networking and share learning.

Helen Beggs Memorial Lecture

This lecture is given in memory of Helen Beggs and her safeguarding work with organisations.  Helen worked as a Training & Development Officer in the Our Duty to Care Team in Volunteer Now for 16 years, helping hundreds of organisations to keep children and adults safe.  Helen took her work extremely seriously and was very passionate about it.  It was clear that she wanted to make a difference.

Dr. Deborah Webster, Thrive Academy will deliver this lecture discussing the risks of the online space for children and young people; the impact that social media can have on their wellbeing and mental health; and how we can support children and young people to become more digitally aware, wise and resilient.
